Impaired Oxygen Transport:
Hypoxia: inadequate oxygen delivery to body tissues.
Hypoxia is easy to recognize in fair-skinned people. This is because their skin/mucosae become cyanotic.
In dark skinned people the changes in color can be seen in only the nail beds and mucosae.
Anemia, pulmonary disease, or impaired or blocked blood circulation may cause Hypoxia.
